Alpine Flavoured Functions

Terms & conditions:

Please read these terms & conditions carefully,
Payment of deposit signifies acceptance of the following

Confirmation of booking

The booking will be considered as confirmed upon receipt of $600.00 as deposit. Cheque's should be made payable to Beparo P/L. Credit card facilities are available, a 5% surcharge will apply to all credit card payments

Final attendance numbers & payment

The final minimum & chargeable number of guests attending the function is required 10 days prior to the event. Charges will be rendered accordingly. Please note your final guest number given on this date is the minimum chargeable. Your guest numbers can increase from that amount but should they decrease you will still be charged for this minimum number of guests.

The balance of the quoted function price is to be paid 5 working days prior to the function in the form of cheque or cash unless alternate arrangements are previously discussed.

Unless a beverage package has been ordered, drinks sold on a consumption basis or BYO wine served with a corkage fee will require payment at the end of the function. Please arrange for a friend or family member to do this.

Beverage packages will require payment 5 days prior.

In case of cancellation

Greater than 60 days prior to a function - Deposit will be refunded less a 30% booking fee. 
Between 60 days & 28 days prior to a function -Full deposit will be retained as compensation for lost business. 
Less than 28 days prior to the function. - The organiser shall upon demand of Great Alpine Inn pay a fee to cover any incurred cost for the said function.

Entertainment

Great Alpine Food will gladly assist you with your entertainment needs, the musicians award stipulates that members must receive a full meal for which there is a charge per person of ½ the full adult price.

Children

Children's meals can be arranged for children under the age of 9 at ½ the full adult price. All children attending will be charged at this rate.

Because of health & safety regulations & public liability concerns, Children attending the event are to be supervised by an adult at all times, any guest who continually allows their child to create a risk will be asked to remove the child from the venue. Please note there are no baby change facilities or quiet areas for infants to sleep available at the venue. However, Great Alpine Inn has a fully self contained 2 bedroom apartment on the premises which is included in the pricing of certatin functions or which can be hired at the going rate. Children must not be left unattended in cars on the property or left un-attended whilst sleeping.

Hiring & Decoration

Equipment hire & Decorations ie special linen, special effects or floral arrangements can be organised for you, the cost incurred as a result will be added to the function charge. Guests wishing to decorate the venue may do so from ground level only, if any elevation is required to secure decorations a licensed hire company must be used.

Alternately and with previous notice, Great Alpine Inn staff may be available to assist with decorating the venue at an hourly rate of $50.

Menus

Menus and prices are negotiable; we reserve the right to make any changes as deemed necessary . (Price increases may occur when there are un-seasonal or large fluctuations in food prices or natural disasters cause disruption to services)

All Quotes are based on an approximate number of guests, should the number of guests given vary by more than 10% an additional charge per person may apply.

Timing:

Patron agrees to begin and end the function at the scheduled times agreed upon, The Guests arrival time as stated in the confirmation of details is to be adhered to. Guests arriving earlier than the stated arrival time will not be given access to the function room unless otherwise arranged . As staff are hired on an hourly basis, in the event of an extension to the start or finishing time, charges for staff will be made. (It is the client's responsibility to advise guests of the correct starting times.)

Foot ware:

Great Alpine Inn has beautiful hardwood floors, extensive lawn gardens and a slatted timber deck, as such Stiletto heals are not appropriate foot ware for guests, please advise them of this on your invitations.

Wedding ceremonies

A $400.00 charge is applicable for wedding ceremonies held at Great Alpine Inn, please note confetti etc is not permitted in the grounds a fee of $100.00 is payable should confetti, paper glitter, party poppers, streamers or bubbles etc be used (It is the clients responsibility to advise guests of this rule) Rose petals are permitted.

Liability

Great Alpine Inn does not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to client's effects whatsoever, including effects brought on to or left at the venue. Clients will be held financially responsible for any loss or damage incurred by themselves, their guests or contractors before, during or after the function.

All  gifts must be removed from the venue at the end of the function.

Sunday & public holiday trading:

The introduction of Common rule federal wages on 1 st January 2005 , with staff penalty rates to be paid on weekends and public holiday's, has caused Great Alpine Inn to require a surcharge of 15% of the total function cost for functions held on a Sunday and 25% of the total function cost for functions held on a public holiday.

Responsible service of alcohol

As per Victorian liquor licensing law it is house policy to follow the guidelines in set out in the RSA certificate.

  • Intoxicated guests will be refused service of alcohol
  • Abusive or excessively drunk behavior will not be tolerated and any offending guests will be asked to leave the premises
  • Suitable attire must be worn at all times, (no shoes, no shirt, no service)
  • Guests under the age of 18 years old will not be served alcohol
  • No BYO of alcohol unless previously arranged with the management (Guests found with any BYO will have the offending liquor confiscated for the duration of the function)
  • It is the responsibility of the client to ensure guests are made aware of the limited Taxi services available in Bright, arrangements for bus services can be made in advance as can bookings9 for taxi services, Great Alpine Inn cannot guarantee availability of Taxi services.
  • Great Alpine Inn will make every effort to assist in arrangements for the safe transport home of your guests however no responsibility will be taken for guests who take it upon themselves to drive a vehicle whilst over the legal blood alcohol limit. (.05 BAC)
